Team Hudon has been putting up impressive numbers in recent weeks at Northlands. After sending out three winners Boxing Day, the Hudon Stable was back in the spotlight this past Saturday evening with another triple. Gerry Hudon trained and reined Baja Beach, Red Riverboat and Kg Art Dreamer to victories on the night, while Arctic Pine would add another driving win to Hudon's total to make it a grand-slam. Hudon would also strike for the driving-double on the Friday night card with wins aboard Dreamway Confed and Balzac Billy.

Jamie Gray was putting up decent numbers as well this past Friday as he would visit the winner's circle four times on the night. Shoplifter Hanover, Jam Session, Rossridge Divine and Queen Of Swing would all pose for pictures with Gray at the helm.

Friday's night top class event for mares would go to River Lass, owned by Blair Corbeil and Kelly Hoedrt. Hoerdt would right-line the five-year-old As Promised miss by the five-eighths marker and she would respond with an explosive backside brush to seize control and go on to win easily by three lengths over the pace-setting Barona Josie, while Minettas Nightstar would take third. Time of the mile was 1:55.1, with River Lass pacing her own back half in an eye-popping 55.3. The Hoerdt trainee now has 17 career victories and over $250,000 in life earnings.

Saturday's top class event for boys would feature the return of fan-favorite Timberline Court - making his first start since June 27th of last year. Gerry Hudon would have 'Timber' on the lead early carving out fractions of 28, 56.4, 1:25.2 before Hilldrop Shady would tip three-wide off cover into the stretch to pull off the 12-1 upset. Brent Grundy would be aboard 'Shady', for owner Wally MacKay and trainer Ken Read, stopping the timer in 1:54.1 - the fastest mile thus far in 2012. 'Timber' stayed for second, while pocket-sitter Neal Diamonique would hold third.

The 'front man' Gts Jake had his race win streak snapped on Saturday night. 'Jake', as the 1-5 fave, would battle Stonebridge Lyric (22-1) through fractions of 27.2, 55.3, 1:24.2 before 'Lyric' would fade to last, while Jake would salvage third. Kg Art Dreamer picked up a new life best of 1:54.2 in this one, while Mr Mozzart closed well to finish second.

Drivers John Chappell and Jeff 'Boomer' Stone recorded doubles on the weekend, while Bill Tainsh Jr. teamed for the triple on Saturday night.

Live racing continues this Friday and Saturday evening with 6 pm start times.
